The idea to create these adorable wooden puppets came from an old traditional toy box from Russia. The box had all trees, bridges and houses with many wooden cylinders. Our daughter loves playing with those wooden cylinders, she's very amused by them.

The name Luielei (he and she) was given by our daughter Laura, even if the wooden cylinders were little soldiers...

Luielei want to communicate that kind of familiar dimension that belongs to our daily's life.

Luielei are all hand crafted and painted. Every piece is unique!

Luielei are ergonomic: they fit confortably in the palm of an hand (about 2 inches long, 2 cm diameter).

They allow children of all ages to explore their immaginations. Lauretta enjoys collect them into a pile, to put them in row, to make them interact. Move them around other wooden constructions.

They are lend to various uses: they are great as key holders, amulets, holiday decorations, place holders.
